Revd Dr Geoff Holmes worked as a curate in Rotherham and a Vicar in Barnsley between 1992 and 2005. He then spent some years working in schools, for the NSPCC, and independently as a funeral celebrant. He completed a PhD in the Faculty of Engineering at Sheffield University in 2013 and has since worked in various departments of the university applying mathematical models to biological and engineering problems and more recently as a modeller in the area of health economics and decision science. Geoff has four children and enjoys running and playing tennis.
